Dubuque Artist Jaro Sebek Shows Wide Range of Work
Indonesian born painter Jaro Sebek ages 50 is among three artists featured at Rocco Buda Arts Gallery in December. He works in water based oils mixing realism and surreal fantasy while exploring diverse styles and cultural influences from O Keefe to Van Gogh. Sebek recalls fleeing Indonesia during civil unrest and arriving in New York during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He has taught art, works part time in graphic design, and treats art as therapy and quest not hobby.
