Des Moines DPI cites 34 Iowa schools for deficiencies

DES MOINES The Iowa department of public instruction gave 34 Iowa schools one year to correct deficiencies in curriculum standards or face reorganization. Duffel Bag Triggers Gun Robbery Arrests Across Counties

A navy duffel bag left at a Fairfield gun shop robbery scene on February 14 led to four suspects being arrested after a six minute high speed chase in Washington and Johnson counties. Larry Joe Longbine, 25, of Cicero Illinois, was stopped south of Iowa City after deputies shot out his tires. The robbery saw 40 guns and about 190 additional firearms valued over 40000 dollars stolen. Kim Lee Robertson, 23, of Belmond, along with Jeffery A. Dahle, 18, and Dwight Wessels, 21, both of Garner, were arrested earlier. The four were arraigned on robbery charges.

Report Finds No FBI Link To King Death
