The Iowa State fair board votes to continue the free ticket policy while reducing the number of tickets allotted to board members. The government found Gulf coast natural gas producers are slow to convert identified reservoirs to production. Interior Secretary Cecil Andrus ordered a comprehensive review after examining four fields. The study estimates idle reservoir resources at nearly one trillion cubic feet and notes production in some fields exceeds typical offshore rates.
