Settlement in Coralville Von Maur incentives case reached
Matt Adam, representing eight individuals and 18 companies, said the plaintiffs agreed to a settlement with Coralville over a 2011 deal granting Von Maur a 9.47 million incentive package and a 1.5 million development grant to buy land for a store at Iowa River Landing. The case questioned fair market value and use of public funds to attract a business, amid tax increment financing debate. Olson expected the agreement filed in Johnson County District Court this week.
