Iowans split on same sex marriage vote future
Advocates debate same sex unions as Iowa voters may decide the issue. Danny Carroll of Iowa Family Policy Center argues a constitutional amendment is likely to lose if put to a vote. Brad Clark of One Iowa counters that Iowa is evenly split and rights should not be decided by a majority vote. Both sides plan active campaigning in 2010 with no push for a constitutional convention. Carroll endorses Vander Plaats for governor. Clark says One Iowa will back fair minded candidates including Culver.
