A group of eight Iowa House Republicans proposes a bill to undo recent Supreme Court rulings that hold golfers and golf courses liable for injuries from errant shots. IES Industries of Cedar Rapids will expand its rail car cleaning and repair subsidiary IES Container Services with two new buildings and modern equipment. The $2.5 million project adds 20 to 25 jobs, boosting employment by about 50 percent as sandblasting painting and lining operations move to the new facilities.
