Tiny town faces cash crisis after clerk theft in Vining
Mayor George Bazal of Vining Iowa says the 50 resident town barely stayed afloat after city clerk Nanci Parizek misappropriated funds from 2008 to 2014. The town now requires two signatures on checks and sends bank statements to the council or mayor to prevent future thefts.
