Vigil grows for missing Ehime Maru crew as search continues

Relatives of the Japanese fishermen and students missing after the Ehime Maru was struck by the USS Greeneville gathered in Hawaii. Coast Guard and Navy teams scoured more than 5,000 square miles of the Pacific with five aircraft and four vessels but found no survivors or major wreckage 48 hours after the collision. The Ehime Maru sank in 1,800 feet of water nine miles from Diamond Head. Captain Hisao Onishi questioned why rescuers took so long to reach survivors as weather limited efforts.
