Four rescued after Detroit Lake crash on island in Michigan
Mirth Gault and her three children survived a Lake Michigan island crash after 15 hours stranded. Coast Guard helicopter pilot Rob McCaskey described initial disbelief at finding survivors. The parents and two crew members died. Gault and Emma were hospitalized in fair condition while Adam and Alec were in good condition. The flight originated in Chicago en route to Beaver Island.
