Former University of Iowa basketball player Pierre Pierce, 21, faces first degree burglary and related charges after an alleged Jan. 27 confrontation with his former girlfriend in her West Des Moines condo. Prosecutors say he threatened her with a knife, choked and bruised her, damaged property, and removed her clothing before leaving. Pierce appeared in Dallas County court.
