Linn County advances land use plan capping large lots near cities
County planners near completion of a revised Linn County Land Use Policy Plan that discourages one acre plus subdivisions adjacent to urban areas. The plan, tied to a new zoning ordinance, pushes 10 000 square foot lots near cities and directs large lots away from suburban fringes to protect future growth. It also urges central sewer and water where possible and warns against leap frog development and residential clusters near I 380 to curb pollution and service costs.
