C R Man Charged With Pointing a Gun
Charles Edward Cook, 30, of 818 Tenth Street SE, was charged Monday with pointing a gun and with intoxication. He allegedly pointed a .410 shotgun at Roy Williams, 1401 Fifth Avenue SE, after an argument at Williams’ residence about 5:30 p.m. Cook fled the scene, was arrested at the police station, and held in the county jail on a $125 bond for the weapons charge. no bond was set for the intoxication charge.

Cedar Rapids American Red Cross officials said the couple vacationing near Lake Atitlan in Guatemala is safe.
