Iowa City plans grade separation on First Avenue to ease traffic
The Iowa City Council will hold a public hearing on a roughly $11 million First Avenue Grade Separation Project to lower the street and elevate the Iowa Interstate Railroad tracks creating a railroad bridge. Construction could start in April with completion expected fall 2016 funded by federal and local sources.
