Three Charged in Iowa Film Tax Credit Schemes
Des Moines reports that three film companies and three individuals face charges over Iowa film tax credits tied to The Scientist. Thomas Wheeler, former Iowa Film Office manager, is charged with non felonious misconduct in office for allegedly not verifying applicant eligibility in December 2008. Other defendants include producers Wendy Runge and Matthias Saunders, accused of first degree theft for inflating credit values and obtaining more than ten thousand dollars in credits.
