Photographer's lifelong focus on trains, hobos, and barns in Marion
Marion photographer Al Berger, 77, chronicled life in black and white for decades. He photographed hobos who stopped for meals at his fur store and documents the Linn County barns before they vanish, developing and printing all images in his basement darkroom. He plans to donate his thousands of negatives to a historical group.
