Bible signed by Pirates stars resurfaces in Sacramento display

An old Catholic Bible donated to the Sacramento Public Library turned out to bear 31 signatures from the 1953 Pittsburgh Pirates including manager Fred Haney and players like Ralph Kiner. Branch Rickey’s descendants aren’t sure how the Bible ended up in California. The artifact could fetch up to $800 and will be shown publicly for Black History Month.
