Five Seasons Center to upgrade arena lighting this summer
Officials say unspent operating funds from Five Seasons Center and Paramount Theatre could finance a $207,000 lighting upgrade. The plan, supported by Ogden Entertainment’s performance savings, would install energy efficient fixtures and dimming controls to double illumination while halving wattage. Public hearing and bid opening set for Feb. 26 with construction slated June through August.

German firm seeks Cedar Rapids CEBA grants for factory
Profol Kunststoffe Gmbh, based in Halsing Germany, seeks a $75,000 CEBA forgivable loan and a $100,000 Rail Economic Development grant to build a 25,000 square foot plastic foil plant on a 15 acre site off C Street SW near Genencor International.
