Reconditioning of Rectory By N C Church
Cedar RapidsImmaculate Conception parish completed a two year program to recondition the 73 year old rectory at 857 Third Avenue SE. The project added bedrooms and study suites by insulating porches and extending heat and modernizing the kitchen, avoiding a planned 200000 building. Volunteers and parishioners supplied labor and furnishings, with Monsignor Schulte guiding plans and supplying items like a rosewood desk and piano.
