Missing Persons Records Highlight Low Study Interest and Local Cases
FBI data show only 0.03 percent of Americans are missing at any time with 97,683 active cases on Dec 1. In 2001 more missing persons were located than entered, while far fewer studies examine causes beyond accidents and concealment. Local cases in Cedar Rapids and Marion illustrate how reports are filed and how many are resolved quickly.
