Polio Drive Reaches $1650 at Manchester
Manchester reports the March of Dimes drive at $1650 to date with a range between 1650 and 1700 announced by City Chairman Norris Gould. Lions club held a downtown auction raising 281 with donors Cecil Ryan and R W Carry providing services. George Greenway and Gould assisted. A porch light campaign added 548 and several 25 donations were received. A dance at VFW hall contributed 117 with VFW and Legion sponsorship. Lions and Boy Scouts collected 220 on Jan 24. A campaign is planned during Delaware county basketball tournament week.

Tractor Upset Injures No One as Youth Escapes

Three Men Pay Fines For Reckless Driving
Three men pled guilty to reckless driving and paid fines totaling 225 dollars in traffic court Monday. Wayne Myers of Belle Plaine paid 25 dollars while Milo Kadera of Oxford and Carl Phelps of 811 Twenty first avenue SW were fined 100 dollars each. Myers was arrested Saturday by Highway Patrol Lt. Clarence Day. Phelps and Kadera were arrested early Sunday by Cedar Rapids police.
