King proposes temporary guest workers bond plan in Iowa
Rep. Steve King told Sioux City business leaders he supports permitting more migrant workers under a bond system similar to bail. The Ebonding for Immigration Integrity Act would require bonds of 3000 to 10000 per worker, posted by employers, to curb visa overstays while allowing temporary labor to meet local needs. King emphasized enforcement and rule of law, while opposing a path to citizenship.
