Man buys ghost town in northern Iowa Dixie
Rob Tibbits bought the ghost town of Dixie, eight acres near Osage, for 35000. Dixie once had a store tavern and post office, founded 1893 by H G Thrams. Tibbits plans include a campground or auctions and preserving history while considering use of tillable land and a base ment from the original store.
