Longtime Lafayette Resident John Chrisman Dies in Cedar Rapids
John M. Chrisman 75, a Lafayette area farmer and lifelong resident, died Saturday in a Cedar Rapids hospital after a short illness. Born July 20, 1880, in Cedar Rapids, he was married to Nancy E. Matheny in 1908. Surviving include his wife, four daughters, three sons, eight grandchildren, and a brother. Memorial services are set for Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lafayette Christian Church. burial in Lafayette cemetery.
