Davenport fire kills mother two children and injures others
A Davenport mobile home fire at North Fairmount Street fatally injured a mother and two children aged under five. Two more children were hospitalized in critical condition in Iowa City. fire officials say the home had no working smoke detectors and the cause is under investigation. Names withheld pending family notification. Floor crews arrived around 9:34 p.m. and left by morning.
