Young man's chaotic two day Christmas travel saga home

John Ryan 22, Western New England College student, spent two days stranded over Christmas starting in Springfield and ending in Cedar Rapids. A missed Cedar Rapids landing and crosswinds forced a return to Chicago O'Hare where he reunited with his girlfriend by chance before driving home with others through a treacherous I-80 corridor. Hagerman traveled separately toward Clinton.
