Linn County lawyers donate over 42,000 to three nonprofits
Linn County Bar Association donated more than 42,000 to three local nonprofits providing legal aid to the less fortunate, immigrants and children. The 20 year effort aims to broaden the bar’s role, with 31,330 to Town Legal Aid, 10,000 to Kids First Law Center, and 1,500 to Justice for Our Neighbors.

Autopsy: bus driver and student die in fire ruled accidental
In rural Pottawattamie County a Riverside Community School District bus fire killed 74 year old driver Donald Hendricks and 16 year old Megan Klindt. Autopsies cite smoke inhalation and thermal injuries. NTSB will review bus maintenance, driver medical records, and flammability.
