Cedar Rapids Officer Killed in Vietnam Mission
Warrant Officer Kenneth A. Luse 19 of Cedar Rapids died in Vietnam when a helicopter providing cover to a downed aircraft was hit and burned by enemy fire. He arrived in Vietnam October 4 and was missing in action before being found. A Kennedy High School graduate, he enlisted in 1968 and earned pilot wings at Ft. Rucker. He is survived by his parents and two brothers, with grandparents also named.
