Iowa to delay Medicaid managed care rollout to March 1
Iowa officials push back the start of privatized Medicaid to March 1 delaying the switch to managed care. The state will keep fee-for-service temporarily while AmeriHealth Caritas signs with UnityPoint Health and University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Enrollees have two additional months to choose a plan and 560,000 beneficiaries can retain current cards and rates during the transition.
