Quad Cities air ambulance backed to stay airborne
Genesis Health System commits up to 15000 dollars per month to keep Med-Force operating in the Quad Cities area. Med-Force began service on November 1 serving Genesis and Trinity Regional Health Systems with Genesis owning Davenport hospitals and Illini Hospital in Silvis. Trinity, with Davenport, Moline and Rock Island campuses, plans a Bettendorf hospital. Trinity previously backed Air Evac which left the area in 1999 after financial losses. Genesis signed a one year, renewable deal with Med-Force, per VP Bob Travis.
