Linn County Farm Bureau Adopts Resolutions for State Convention
The Linn county Farm Bureau adopted nine resolutions at Marion urging the Iowa Farm Bureau federation to preserve its original educational role, curb commercial activities by county groups, and adjust state dues. They seek a $1.50 per member redistribution to counties, a $2.50 state dues cap, expanded soil conservation via extension services, and continued secondary road funding. The group also opposes taxes increases and gambling at fairs, endorses crop control, and calls for farm tenure study.
