Bridge Fall Takes Life and Injures Three in Kent
A heavy gas truck collapsed a 75 year old bridge in Kent Ohio during a snowstorm sending a minister in a car and three others into the Cuya hoga river. The truck weighed over 30 tons against eight ton posted limits. One victim was Rev Shockley Graham. Two Kent High School students were injured and a water main was severed cutting service to 1000 homes. Police and state officials coordinated rescue efforts while gas crews mitigated a potential explosion.
