Ghost Story review laments lack of suspense and pacing
A critique of Ghost Story finds the film a spunkless spook show despite a strong cast led by Fred Astaire and Melvyn Douglas. Alma's eerie duality drives the plot but rapid reveals and wandering pace undermine tension and coherence. The Chowder Society characters feel underused and the film earns an R rating for sex and violence.
