Linn County to videotape homes for assessor use
By February 1983 Linn County homes outside Cedar Rapids will be filmed for property assessments. Assessor Forrest Holveck said the video tool will supplement inspections, aiding comparisons and dispute resolution while keeping costs low. The plan covers about 17,000 parcels with a mobile crew operating at slow speeds, using a 2400 budget for equipment and tape. Local law enforcement will be notified of filming areas.
