Democrats poised to nominate for Johnson County special election
The Johnson County Democratic Convention will nominate a candidate for the Jan 19 special election to fill the Neuzil vacancy. Lisa Green-Douglass, active in local politics since 1988, is the only Democrat to announce so far. Republicans plan no county convention, while Independent candidates may file by Dec 28. Early voting starts Jan 4 and polls run 7 am to 9 pm.
