Iowa man donates 185th pint in Waterloo

$80 Million Hiawatha North Development Unveiled

Primaline Associates announces an $80 million Hiawatha North project on 295 acres off I 380 Boyson Road. The plan includes 350 single family lots, 300 multi family units, 175,000 square feet offices, 200,000 square feet commercial space, 60 acres industrial warehousing, 15 acres park water retention with 2,000 potential permanent jobs. First phase begins in about two months with 30 homes priced around $90,000.

Iowa mother convicted of first degree kidnapping in custody case

Donna Simmons 32 was found guilty of first degree kidnapping for helping her live in boyfriend handcuff and confine her son in a basement. She faces a life term with no parole, sentencing set for January 13. Larry Siemer, her boyfriend, already convicted and awaiting a life sentence. Jury deliberated five hours.
