Salisbury Labs halts production amid river pollution probe
Salisbury Laboratories president announced the Charles City plant will stop all chemical production at least until next week. A 17 year old from Manchester was charged with larceny over 20 dollars for allegedly stealing coon furs valued at 200 dollars from Clayton Phillips. The furs were traced to a local dealer where the boy allegedly sold them after the Dec. 5 theft.

Regents OK hygienic lab move to Oakdale campus
The State Hygienic Laboratory will relocate from the University of Iowa central campus to Oakdale six miles northwest of Iowa City with an estimated $970 315 relocation cost.
