Nursing home agrees to re admit Minnis after illegal ouster
Mrs. Joseph Minnis will visit her husband in Cedar Rapids as the Cedar Rapids Care Center agrees to readmit the 69 year old man who was moved to Mechanicsville last August. State Health Department found the removal illegal and noted possible civil rights grounds. The center will place him in the next available bed.

Foggy Road Crash Near Hawkeye Injures Three
In Hawkeye area fog and one lane traffic caused a head on two car crash 3:45 p.m. Wednesday four and a half miles southwest of Hawkeye on a county gravel road. Drivers Anna May Schlatter 44 and Rick Schlatter 27 both of Hawkeye were treated at Palmer Memorial Hospital along with Schlatter’s wife Susan 25 and released.
