A mixed media painting by Emily Jean Martin titled What's Mutual Mean and How? was reported stolen from the Drewelowe Gallery at the University of Iowa Thursday afternoon. The 14 by 12 inch artwork valued around $100 is identified by a back stamp marking it as property of the School of Art.

The New York market was little changed in a quiet session. The noon Dow fell 0.17 to 817.74 after a 4.77-point Thursday loss. Declines barely led advances on the NYSE while the composite index dipped to 51.64. The AMEX market value index rose to 125.43.
