Toledo Pilot of Vanished Plane Is Found Dead
Special to The Gazette Toledo Air Force Capt. Norbert A. Podhajsky 27 of Toledo vanished when piloting a C-123 over Vietnam on November 29. His wreckage was found after two C-123s went missing and two sergeants were rescued December 5. He had been in Vietnam 10 months as a pilot instructor for the South Vietnamese air force and was due home December 2. He was a Toledo High School graduate and Iowa alumnus with a 1965 BA in political science. Surviving are his mother.
