Cedar Rapids Public Library officials unveil a park plan funded by a Hall Perrine Foundation grant and city funds. The plan includes bioretention gardens, multiuse courts, a pavilion, splash pads, a civic plaza, a community garden, a Discovery Garden, trails, and private outdoor reading rooms, with a 19 million dollar building cost and a 25 million project total. The final plan goes to the council in spring 2024 and a public fundraising campaign starts January.
