Governor race note uproots gambling policy and mental health plans
Eight sheriffs back Democrat Fred Hubbell in Iowa governor race. Corbett says if state legalizes sports betting, he would sign legislation and back wagering on pro and college football basketball and baseball. He cites Branstad era gambling growth and aims to expand mental health beds and jail diversion, despite limited fiscal 2019 funds.
