Hundreds of Toys Repaired at YMCA for Needy Children
A busy crew of more than fifty men and boys, in two hour shifts, repaired roughly 200 toys at the YMCA handicraft shop for a city wide project. Toys collected from homes over two Saturdays will be distributed from the Sunshine Mission toy store. Supervisors from Quaker Oats guided the work, with YMCA boys dormitory residents and Hi Y and Men’s Club members helping. The effort aims to supply Christmas toys to needy children and totals are expected to rise further this week.
