Supreme Court OKs AT&T Breakup Plan After States Challenge
The Supreme Court unanimously upholds a provision of AT&T's breakup assignment of hookup costs to new regional companies, ruling no illegal burden on states and no rate hikes. The decision comes as New York and California challenged the plan, with no change to local rates. The court also left intact rulings on Baby Jane Doe's surgery and Louisiana's scheduled execution of Robert Williams.
