City Hall Notes on West Cedar Rapids parking land buy
A public hearing is set for Tuesday in Cedar Rapids on plans to purchase an off street parking tract of 110 by 140 feet on the east side of Second Street SW between Forrist and Second Avenues. The council approved steps to acquire the property for 30 000 from Mary Ann and Phillip Berger. The report also notes the promotion of Richard A Wing to lieutenant in the Cedar Rapids Fire Department and authorization for the health department to buy a D6 crawler tractor with accessories for landfill use.
