Tritium May Provide Self Illuminating Lighting
An official of U S Radium Corp said tritium, a radioactive substance, and other man made materials show promise for self illuminating lighting in public buildings, aircraft, mines and other areas where electrical failure may occur. They have been tested as markers for ship buoys and signaling in life rafts, offering low level illumination without external power.
