Underground Campus Tunnels Keep Mount Mercy Connected
Mount Mercy University in Cedar Rapids uses a tunnel network linking most buildings, a feature praised as a recruitment tool and a weather shelter. The tunnels date to 1954 with later extensions, host student wall signatures, and remain locked at night while serving faculty and staff.
