Seek Order Enforcing NLRB Ruling Against Tehel Bottling Works
Officers of Tehel Bottling Works and the local Teamsters union were notified that a petition will be filed in the United States circuit court of appeals seeking an order enforcing an NLRB ruling requiring management to negotiate with the union. The NLRB decision, issued last March after a federal hearing, was confirmed in Washington, D. C. Tehel argued the existing contract with United Beverage Workers meant no election was needed and that the union lacked a majority of workers. The NLRB contends proper election was held and that the union is the representative.
