Washington Wins Missouri Valley Grid Title Despite Creighton Protest
The Missouri Valley conference awarded the 1934 football championship to Washington University St Louis after Creighton protested Washington's claim arguing only one conference game was played. Washington beat Drake and Butler. Creighton won two of three. A 1935 rule requires at least three conference games for title consideration. The conference also set official all star selections for 1935 and ended the one meal a day training table rule.
