Educators Optimistic On 5.5 Percent Increase Request
Cedar Rapids teachers plan a 5.5 percent salary increase next year despite a tentative 1973 74 budget showing about five percent for total salary accounts. CREA officials back the request as a firm position, noting the 5.5 percent is the bare minimum and could be balanced by adjusting other accounts if staff or enrollment changes.
