Second trial against bank ruled unnecessary in Iowa case
District Court Judge James Rielly ruled a second trial against Mount Pleasant Bank and Trust is unnecessary as 90 Stockport area farmers claim mirror the September verdict. If summary judgment favors the farmers, damages could reach about 2.2 million tied to grain stored with Prairie Grain Co. at the 1980 collapse. FDIC seeks a new trial alleging jury instruction errors in the first case.
